Bouchard Père and Fils Old and Rare Burgundies

Twin Cities Wine Education is proud to present a very special night of top-level Burgundies.
Bouchard Père & Fils “Old and Rare” Burgundy tastingFeaturing gems shipped directly from their caves in Beaune, France
Rarely does an opportunity like this come around.
The best place to have wine stored is at the winery itself. It’s cool, it’s dark, and it’s when the wine was birthed. Especially when it comes to the best of Burgundy, you need to have provenance be a top priority. Here we have a chance to try five of the best wines made by one of the best producers, all directly from the cellar.
Add to that the lineup. To compare 1999’s, 2010’s and 2011’s side by side, but also compare Grand Cru Le Corton (two vintages!) to arguably the best Premier Cru in Burgundy (Beaune-Greves Vigne de L’Enfant Jesus … the famous ‘Baby Jesus’ wine of Bouchard) is fantastic.
Then add the fact we are popping two of the best Premier Crus from the 1999 vintage (Clos de la Mousse and Clos des Chenes) and you have an over the top night for Burgundy fans.
We will learn about Burgundy (the place and the history), the role of vineyard rankings, and the impact of vintages and climate. We will experience all of this in a line up of five wines, some of the best available.
