Twin Cities Wine Education is proud to present an eye opening class with a free gift to take home!
Prepare to be amazed. Stemware makes all the difference in the world, but rarely are you given the opportunity to try multiple wines from multiple glasses to prove the point. My analogy that I’ve used for years is this: you can have a top level turntable, Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon on 180g new press vinyl, and a $30,000 McIntosh amplifier … but if you have crappy speakers you have crappy sound.
Speakers are a delivery system for hearing.
Stemware is a delivery system for smell and taste.
In this new class we’ll be approaching the science of stemware and taste with the eye of a skeptic (because it’s always healthy to be a skeptic). We’ll be focusing on Pinot Noir, starting with an extensive discussion on the grape and the problems it presents in the vineyard and the winery. We’ll be tasting three Pinot Noirs from around the world to emphasize the points (delicious and awesome examples from a range of terroirs) while learning more about Pinot Noir than you thought possible.
Then we’ll pull out the big glass, the Riedel Pinot Noir XL glass (one of my favorites) to learn about how the size and shape of the bowl changes your impression of the wine and enhances the best factors.
At the end of the night you’ll take home that Riedel Pinot Noir XL glass for your future wine enjoyment (a $30.00 value! See here: http://www.iwawine.com/riedel-vinum-xl-pinot-2-pack.html). Special pricing on buying more stemware will be available that night through North Loop Wine and Spirits.
