Twin Cities Wine Education, in partnership with Penfolds of Australia, is proud to present an incredible afternoon of wine, learning, and history with one of the best known Sommeliers in America today.
DLynn Proctor first came to prominence in the wine world when he was named Food and Wine Magazine’s Sommelier of the Year in 2008. But his career went into overdrive when his stress as one of a small group studying for the Master Sommelier exam was chronicled in the movie Somm.
As an Advanced Sommelier he’s sooooooo close to passing (all that’s left is that dreaded blind tasting), and in the meantime he’s joined Penfolds of Australia as a brand ambassador. We are happy to have him in Minneapolis for an amazing afternoon, on Thursday May 25th from 12-2pm at North Loop Wine and Spirits.
Join us for a very special tasting through the best wines of the Penfolds portfolio, including the legendary Penfods Grange ($800 a bottle). Mr. Proctor will lead us through the wines of Australia, the history of the Penfolds winery, and a group question and answer session to learn more about his life post-SOMM, the Master Sommelier test itself, and his opinions on the current state and future of the wine world.
A rare opportunity to meet one of the best known Sommeliers in the world today. Seating is, obviously, extremely limited.
