Wine Geek Week: Founding Families of Oregon Pinot Noir
April 26 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm
Twin Cities Wine Education is proud to present a special night of tasting and learning during Wine Geek Week: Oregon.
The Founding Families of Oregon Pinot Noir
A casual walk-around tasting featuring select wines from the families that established the Oregon Pinot Noir industry: Adelsheim, Knudsen, Ponzi, Lett, and Casteel.
Wine distributor representatives will help you learn the story of these amazing families and what they achieved in the 1970’s, at the start of the Oregon fine wine industry.
All participants get a free Riedel Pinot Noir XL “Oregon” glass (a $35 value in itself), plus access to special pricing on some very special wines thanks to Cotroneo’s Wine and Spirits.
Join us Thursday evening April 26th at Cotroneo’s in White Bear Lake for a casual evening highlighting the five families that truly established the Willamette Valley Pinot Noir industry. Featuring a dozen wines in all (we may pop a few extras as well), you will get to try some amazing Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, and Pinot Noirs from what we consider the founding families: Adelsheim Winery, Knudsen Vineyards, Ponzi, Bethel Heights, and of course the one that started it all: Eyrie Vineyards.
Tasting is limited to 40 participants, so as to give everybody elbow room to enjoy and ask questions.
Evening begins at 6:30 and ends at 8:30.
