2025 Wine Travel Preview!

Willamette Valley ala Carte

Sunday, February 23
Monday, February 24
Tuesday, February 25
Wednesday, February 26
Thursday, February 27

Limited to ten participants per day.

The inaugural trip of our new format for domestic wine travel!

Here’s how it’s going to work.

Step one: you pick what days you want to join our tour group based on the daily themes and AVAs we are mapping out.

Step two: you pick where to stay — anywhere you want in or near McMinnville, Oregon, in the northern Willamette Valley. (It’s highly recommended to stay near downtown core, and we’ll have tons of suggestions for you from affordable and funky, to luxurious and stunning.)

Step three: book your flight any way you wish.

You have full flexibility on how and when you get to Portland (miles, points, first class, economy, up to you!), then onward to McMinnville (car rental in Oregon is cheap, and you’ll appreciate having a car for optional touring, but transport services are also available). You have full flexibility on where you stay and evenings to yourself. The goal is YOU design the trip you want, but join us for exciting days of touring.

We pick you up in the morning, you enjoy a wonderful, educational, and wine-filled day with us (including lunch), and we return you to McMinnville in the early evening for happy hour.

Want to join all five days for tours and tasting? Go for it!

Want to come just for Sunday and Monday? Or Tuesday and Thursday, and enjoy Wednesday on your own? Do it!

Want to invite friends that live around the country? Call them up!

Included in our daily ala carte pricing:

  • Transportation for the whole day of exploring
  • A deep dive into specific AVA’s with Jason and Angela, including maps
  • Visits to at least three, and often four, wineries or vineyards (all tasting room fees included in the price!) … we’ll be busy!
  • A fantastic lunch, including wine
  • Vineyard visits, barrel tastings, terroir seminars (let’s get dirty!)
  • Visits to vineyards as an insider, not as a tourist
  • Creativity exercises with Angela
  • Meeting legendary winemakers and winery owners

Each day will have a different itinerary and theme, and over the course of the five days we’ll cover Willamette Valley in complete detail.

More details coming VERY soon. Sign up for first notification plus a little discount.

Art Vine Voyage: Provence and the Southern Rhône

April 4-12, 2025
Limited to ten participants (five couples, single supplement available)
Leaders: Jason, Angela, and Chef Julien Martel

OMG THIS IS GOING TO BE GREAT!

A full week in the Southern Rhône, based out of Provence, France. Local food, local wine, cooking classes, winery visits (including Chateauneuf-du-Pape), art travel journaling classes, and home-cooked dinners in our private residence by Chef Julian Martel of Rouge Bordeaux.

We’ll explore the great cities and sites: Avignon, Aix-en-Provence, the Pont du Gard, Neîmes, the coast, and much more. A feature will be market visits with Julien to plan the evening meals. The chateau we are looking to rent is stunning! The details of this trip are coming together fast, but those that have been on our journeys with us and Julien know just how much fun it’s going to be.

Porto, Douro Valley, and Northern Spain

September 12-19, 2025
Limited to twelve participants (six couples, single supplement available)
Leaders: Jason, Angela, and Ryan Opaz

A once-in-a-lifetime journey through some of the most dramatic countryside of Europe. We’ll begin and end in Porto, exploring the Port caves and some of the best food in the country. The Douro Valley will welcome us in all of its splendor. We’ll cross over to Spain for the dramatic vineyards of Ribeira Sacra, plus explore Rias Baixas and (back in Portugal) Vinho Verde. All the while, we’ll explore the local foods and wines with Ryan Opaz for a true insider’s journey.

This trip will be featured and discussed during a December 30th event with Ryan (free tickets available soon).

Personal note from Jason: I CAN’T WAIT for this trip and to share it with those on board. I’ve been wanting to get my butt to the northwest corner of Spain for decades, and I’ll finally be able to do it. The area of Ribeira Sacra has to be seen to be believed. Here’s what I’m talking about.
