1992 Revisited: Sonoma and Napa Valley
March 21 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm$70.00
Twin Cities Wine Education is proud to present a night that will not be repeated anytime soon!
1992 REVISITED: Gems from Sonoma and Napa Valley
It’s starting to get harder and harder to find great old wines, for the treasure hunters around the world are gobbling them up faster and faster. Luckily, we invested heavily in aged wines years ago and now we get to pop them for you!
In this very special class we’ll revisit the 1992 vintage, a strong vintage before the warming trends really kicked in later in the decade. The wines of 1992 are structured, textured, and balanced and have proven themselves to age wonderfully. (Of course, no guarantees, but all six of these wines are in perfect condition and I expect a great showing from each.)
Wines to be opened, enjoyed, and discussed:
1992 Kenwood Artist Series Cabernet Sauvignon, Sonoma Valley
1992 Trefethen Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley
1992 Chateau St. Jean “Cinq Cepages,” Sonoma County
1992 Arrowood Merlot, Sonoma County
1992 Chateau Souverain, Alexander Valley
1992 Anderson’s Conn Valley Caberenet Sauvignon Reserve, Napa Valley
We will also discuss proper aging and service of wines such as these, the details of the 1992 vintage, the changing climate that started to hit in 1997, and much more.
Extremely limited seating for this special event.
