An evening with Heath Payne of Bethel Heights
April 3 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm$50.00
Twin Cities Wine Education is proud to present a very special night of Willamette Valley wines!
Welcome Heath Payne, Assistant Winemaker of Bethel Heights
Hands down, no question, Bethel Heights is one of our favorite wineries.
Located in the Eola-Amity Hills of Willamette Valley (south of McMinnville), Bethel Heights was one of the first to put vines in the ground and for decades has been a standard-bearer when it comes to the wines of Willamette Valley.
We are honored to have an evening with Assistant Winemaker Heath Payne, who moved to the region in 2006 and has proven himself to be one of the best at what he does. As profiled on the Bethel Heights website: “Heath moved to Oregon in 2006 to pursue degrees in both viticulture and wine production. Upon graduation, he spent the next seven years as Cellar Master for Witness Tree Vineyard where he fell in love with the unique climate and soils of the Eola-Amity Hills AVA. Heath joined Bethel Heights in the fall of 2017. When he’s not racking barrels or doing lab work he can be found spending time with his family and as time permits pulling a few steelheads from local rivers.”
What to expect: a wide range of wines and discussion, focusing on the terroir of Willamette Valley, the history of particular grape varieties, and the impacts that world-renowned success is having on this region. Additionally, we’ll talk about touring the area and get Heath’s insider perspective on where to eat and taste.
And of course, many great wines will be tasted from the Bethel Heights portfolio.
We hope you can join us for this special event.
