Cicchetti Night at Scusi, May 2015 Edition
May 26, 2015 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm
Twin Cities Wine Education LLC, and Scusi Restaurant present
May 2015 Edition Tuesday, May 26th at 6:00pm
A wine dinner like no other.
We are proud to present another edition of CICCHETTI NIGHT at Scusi!
The first Cicchetti Night, back in June of 2014, was a night to remember for all in the room. Over ten courses and four wines served in 90 minutes in the wonderfully frantic style that is Cicchetti. The energy in the room was fantastic. The event sold out quickly (plus a waiting list of nearly 40 people!) and the lucky ones that got in were treated to a wine dinner like no other.
We’re happy to announce Cicchetti Night, May 2015 Edition! Join us for a night of incredible food, great wines, new friends, and many glasses raised to celebrating the arrival of the great weather in Minnesota!
Seating will be at 6pm, starting with a glass of Prosecco while we introduce the foods and wines of the evening. I’ll lead a short discussion about the regions of Italy we will be focusing on, and you’ll of course receive the Twin Cities Wine Education packet of info.
This will be followed by the ringing of the bell to signal the start of the meal. A whirlwind of plate after plate (after plate after plate) of precisely prepared Italian cuisine from the chef teams of Scusi will start to land in front of you. The wines will come alive, the energy in the room will soar, and you’ll pop out at the end stunned giddy by the experience, guaranteed.
Cicchetti night is only $60 per person plus ticketing fee. Note the price is all-inclusive (tax and tip INCLUDED!). Pre-purchase of tickets is required … no walk-ins allowed. One seating at 6pm on Tuesday May 26th.
We hope to see you at Cicchetti Night!
About Cicchetti. Visiting Venice, Italy, is a vacation of a lifetime for many (and a favorite destination of mine). However, few tourists get to experience the real Venice, where locals who live on the island stroll to work, shop in the markets, and live lives much like we all do (albeit in one of the most historic, romantic, and beautiful cities on the planet).
Going out for a sit down dinner is something native Venetians rarely do. Instead, they pub-crawl from Enoteca to Enoteca (wine bar to wine bar) snacking their way through many courses while sipping “ombra bianco” and “ombra rosso” (glasses of local wine). These small courses are called cicchetti, which are basically an Italian version of tapas. Eating a dozen cicchetti is often what a native Venetian will do for dinner, all the while chatting with old and new friends, catching up on the day, and living life to the fullest.
