The Napa Valley Wine and Travel Masterclass

November 5, 2014 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

Twin Cities Wine Education LLC presents
The Napa Valley Wine and Travel Masterclass

A must experience tasting event for wine lovers and travelers
Napa Valley has become one of the most popular tourist destinations in California (in fact, some studies show it second only to Disneyland in popularity). Unfortunately for many travelers, they arrive in Napa Valley woefully underprepared and without a plan of action. They get shepherded into forgettable tasting rooms, listening to a canned presentation. Stuck in traffic and hungry, they find themselves at yet another tourist trap of a restaurant, shocked that dinner cost $300. Where to stay? The tourist guide never mentioned the hotel was next to the train tracks!
No wonder many people leave their Napa Valley trip jaded and frustrated.
Which is why we bring you the Napa Valley Wine and Travel Masterclass. We will show you how to make the most of this incredible region, and how best to experience what Napa Valley has to offer.
This comprehensive evening will start with your arrival in California (comparing the three main airports you can use, and the pluses and minuses of each). We will discuss best routes into the region, and fine stops along the way. Then the journey into Napa begins …
This class will cover every sub-region of Napa Valley, from Carneros in the south to Calistoga in the north and everywhere in-between. Climate, topography, geology, and terroir will be mixed with historical information to help you understand the context of Napa in the American wine story. Chiles Valley, Oak Knoll District, Spring Mountain? We’ll discuss them all.
Who to visit and why, what time of day, what route to take, where to grab a quick bite vs. a big meal. How to spend your money wisely. All of this will be covered, and more.
Of course we will be tasting some of the best wines of Napa Valley, from organically farmed Sauvignon Blanc, to enchanting cool region Pinot Noir, through some ‘under the radar’ oddities, and of course Chardonnay and Caberent Sauvignon.
We hope you can join us for this evening of dreaming, planning, and tasting. This is one of the most comprehensive Napa Valley tastings and experiences you can have, hands down. Seating is limited.
This class will include:

How best to plan your days (and avoid being stuck in a traffic jam for an hour)

The top ‘insider’ restaurants where you’ll find yourself shoulder to shoulder with winemakers instead of tourists

Ideas for keeping your days fun and fresh, not hectic or hurried

How to stay safe and sober while enjoying wine country

The top insider’s visits to off the beaten path wineries

How to design your trip around your favorite interests, be they food, farming, biking, hiking, or a mud bath followed by a massage.

How to get your wine back to Minnesota safe and sound.

… and much, much more.
