Twin Cities Wine Education is proud to present the top rosé wine classes of 2019!
THE WONDERFUL WORLD OF AMERICAN ROSÉ
For the 2019 class season, I am doing a series of Rosé classes separated into specific terroirs, plus a “Rosé Masterclass” that will overview all the main rosé regions of the world. We’ll be covering France, Italy and Spain, Oregon and Washington, and California throughout the summer. For this class, we venture to the west coast to taste the best dry pink wines of America.
California, Oregon, and Washington are producing the greatest variety of rosé wines in the world. From naturalists producers that are using native yeasts to the “New California” movement finding old vineyards and returning to minimalist winemaking techniques, there are more gems to be found out of America than anywhere else.
Our tasting will focus on the variety of selections available while learning deeply about the regions and the producers being tasted.
You’ll leave with a firm grasp not only on the history of rosé in California, Washington, and Oregon but also a good sense of top producers to seek out year after year.
The first half of the tasting we’ll learn the four methods of production for dry pink wines and how they differ in the end result. This is essential information to help you get the wine you seek out! We’ll also discuss Rose’ Sparkling Wine and why it’s a different animal entirely when it comes to pink wines.
Each rosé class in 2019 will present a completely different set of wines around each sub-topic, so feel free to come to any and all!
This class is guaranteed to be an eye-opener. The range of styles, prices, and quality available for rose’ wines has never been greater. Come learn about this amazing category to plan your summer drinking!
