Turley Zinfandel: Five Counties Compared
February 25 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm
Twin Cities Wine Education is proud to present a special limited seating class.
Turley Zinfandels: Five Counties Compared
A great way to learn about the historic grape and the key regions of California production.
Larry Turley changed the image of Zinfandel.
Since founding his winery nearly 30 years ago, the name Turley has been attached to some of the top Zinfandels made. When the wave of ‘bigger is better’ Zinfandels of the early 1990s hit the scene, Turley was the leader in the genre. What many don’t realize is that since 2010 his wines have become significantly more elegant, perfumed, and balanced. I love them.
Join us for a special limited seating event comparing five Turley Zinfandels from five different counties to learn about the terroir differences of Napa, Sonoma, Lodi, Contra Costa, and Paso Robles. We will taste and discuss the following:
Turley Fredericks Vineyard Zinfandel 2017, Sonoma Valley
Turley Stacy Ranch Zinfandel 2016, Lodi
Turley Dusi Vineyard Zinfandel 2016, Paso Robles
Turley Durate Zinfandel 2016, Contra Costa County
Turley Turley Estate Zinfandel 2016, Napa Valley
You can look forward to a history of Zinfandel, history of Larry Turley’s vision, discussion of his evolution in style, and much more.
Extremely limited seating for this special event.
