Unexpected wine and chocolate pairings

I couldn’t believe it. Sitting before me was an array of stemware, the wine within them consumed, and empty plates that used to hold an array of different types of chocolate. It was January of 2013 and I had just experienced one of the most amazing wine tastings of my life. Georg Riedel, President of Riedel Stemware, had just led me through a comprehensive wine and chocolate extravaganza that simply left me speechless. Wine and cheese? For sure. Wine and cured meat?
