Wine After Work: The Willamette Valley

October 3, 2019 @ 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm

Twin Cities Wine Education is proud to present a fun after work gathering of wine and learning.

Wine After Work: The Willamette Valley

There is no region with as much sudden success as the Willamette Valley of Oregon.

The first vines were planted by David Lett at The Eyrie Vineyards in 1966. By 1980 there were a couple of dozen wineries. Now there are hundreds, producing what many believe to the best Pinot Noirs in the world.

Join us for a special Wine After Work class with sommelier Shar Peterson, examining the Willamette Valley in terms of history, terroir, travel, and getting bang for your buck. Shar is just coming off a trip to the valley and will have current information on the best restaurants and incredible wineries to visit.

We hope you can join us!

What is Wine After Work?
Wine After Work is a series of fun and quick wine classes at local restaurants all over the metro area. Conducted by Certified Sommelier Shar Peterson of Twin Cities Wine Education, they are a quick dive into a specific topic in the world of wine while tasting a handful of delicious selections.

What time are Wine After Work classes?
As implied by the name, we aim to have these be fun after work events. The gathering is anytime after 5 pm, the class begins at 5:30, and ends around 6:30 pm. You are invited and encouraged to stick around for a meal afterward, of course.

Is there food at Wine After Work?
A couple of appetizers or a cheese board will be ordered for the table, but this is not a meal or a wine dinner. You’re invited and encouraged to stick around after at the host restaurant for dinner.

Is there wine served at Wine After Work classes?
Of course! We take pride in serving great wines for all of our classes, always with top quality Riedel stemware. All Wine After Work classes serves a minimum of three great selections.

How many people come to Wine After Work?
Minimum of four people for a class, a maximum of eighteen. We want to keep these classes intimate and enjoyable.
