Wine Geek Week Australia: 1999 Australian Gems
September 27 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm
Twin Cities Wine Education is proud to present a special night of aged Australian gems, one of the best line ups you can experience this year.
WINE GEEK WEEK AUSTRALIA: 1999 GEMS OF AUSTRALIAN WINE
What treasures await 20 years on?
The goal of the class: To help us understand the age-ability of Australian red wines through a careful tasting and discussion of a perfectly preserved collection of rarities.
To cap off Wine Geek Week Australia, we have a special treat in store for twelve lucky students.
We will pop an amazing collection of highly-rated rarities and gems while discussing how wine ages especially when it’s from Australia. This line up of wines is second to none and based on previous aged Australian tastings, we are in for a treat indeed.
Wines to be tasted and discussed:
1999 Kilikanoon “Oracle” Shiraz, Clare Valley
1999 Maxwell “Ellen Street” Shiraz, McLaren Vale
1999 Veritas Winery Mourvedre/Grenache, Barossa Valley
1999 JJ Hahn “Nineteen Fourteen” Shiraz, Barossa Valley
1999 Liebich Wein “CW’s Block” Shiraz, Barossa Valley
1999 Burge Family Winemakers “Draycott – The Grateful Reserve” Shiraz, Barossa Valley
