Twin Cities Wine Education presents a special night with what we consider the finest winery in America.

Wine Geek Week: Sonoma
The Sonoma wines of Ridge Vineyards

If you’ve ever been to the Ridge Lytton Spring vineyard and winemaking facility, you know just how special it is. Surrounded by some of the oldest vineyards in Sonoma County (including some from the very early 1900s that are technically unknown varieties) they produce what is arguably the best wine in California.

Join us for a deep dive and discussion on the wines of Ridge Vineyards, focusing on the great old vineyards of Sonoma County. We will taste many gems from the Sonoma portfolio while pouring over maps to detail exactly where the wines are from. Lytton Springs, Lytton Petite Sirah, Geyserville, Pagani, Ponzo, and more.

Included will be a discussion on what ‘old vine’ means to winemaking and why it’s central to the Ridge Vineyards story, plus a full overview on the winery, the people, and their philosophy.

Instructor Chris Griese has had more history with the Ridge Vineyards than anybody in the state of Minnesota, over thirty years of tasting the wines and visiting the properties. He will give you an amazing perspective on this incredible winery.

Extremely limited seating.

Instructor: Chris Griese
Location: Cotroneo’s in White Bear Lake
