GSM (Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvedre) with Gorgonloza!
Presented by sommelier and educator Shar Peterson
Our new weekend wine series will focus on a particular pairing of one grape variety with one type of cheese. Come learn all about the Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvedre grapes including their history, differing styles, top regions around the world, outstanding producers, and more. Learn all about what the blend of these three grapes bring to the glass, what to look for in a top-quality GSM blends, and how to find the biggest bang for the buck.
And pairing it with Gorgonloza! Learn all about this historic and delicious cheese, the laws that protect this style of cheese, and get ideas of how best to enjoy it.
These new wine and cheese pairing experiences are sure to be eye-openers for you! Three outstanding wines of very different styles will be served along with the cheese.

Shar Peterson is a Certified Sommelier with the Court of Master Sommeliers and is an expert at conveying the complex ideas of wine and wine science to groups and individuals. Her extensive experience positions her in a unique spot in the local wine scene, with deep subject knowledge along with practical experience from years in the hospitality industry. She’s a specialist in private tastings and restaurant staff education.

We aim to start all classes on time, please arrive a touch early. No meals are served at the classes unless specified.
