Wine on the Weekend: The World of Cabernet Franc

January 25 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Twin Cities Wine Education is proud to present a fun gathering of wine and learning.

Wine on the Weekend: The World of Cabernet Franc

It’s the grape variety getting all the attention lately from somms around the world. Ten years ago, outside of the Loire Valley in France, 100% Cab Franc wines were a rarity. With domestic leaders such as Gamling and McDuck, Gary Wooten, and Lang and Reed, the world of Cabernet Franc has exploded.

Best known as a minor blending grape in Bordeaux plus a key grape in the Loire, Cabernet Franc has been embraced by a new and young generation of winemakers that praise the spicy and edgy qualities it brings.

Join us for this dive into the world of Cab Franc with sommelier Shar Peterson. The history of the grape, the top regions, the best producers and much more will be discussed while tasting a fun range of selections. We hope you can make it!
