World Wine Cup 2014, Championship Match
July 17, 2014 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
Twin Cities Wine Education LLC presents
The World Wine Cup 2014
Eight countries, four tastings, ONE winner
NO MESSING AROUND — ABSOLUTE TOP QUALITY WINES ALL SERVED BLIND
WHO WILL WIN THE WORLD WINE CUP 2014?
To celebrate the 2014 World Cup, Twin Cities Wine Education presents a series of blind wine tastings like no other. The World Wine Cup brings together eight great wine producing countries into a head to head battle of blind tasting to determine the 2014 champion.
CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH: Thursday July 17th, 6:30pm
How this will work: There will be two flights, one white and one red. Each country will have two wines in each flight, and all wines will be selected based on being extremely high quality but also similar flavor profiles as its competitors. The idea will be to have as level a playing field as possible.
We’ll be tasting ABSOLUTE TOP QUALITY WINES in the Championship Match, but without knowing which country they are representing.
We will start the evening discussing blind tasting (both its positives and negatives), and covering detailed tasting techniques to use for the evening. Each participant will be given a scorecard allowing for a variety of points in certain categories. At the end of each flight, we will tally the group scores to determine the winners and losers of the flight.
After both flights are complete, the wines will be revealed and the country totals will be tallied.
The winning trophy will be presented in ceremonious fashion following the tasting.
We hope you can join us for the World Wine Cup 2014!
