The Flying Grape was founded by Jason and Angela Kallsen in 2015 to bring “boots on the ground” wine, food, and cultural education to all. We travel the world over with enthusiastic students, always in small groups and always exploring under-the-radar wineries, regions, and grapes.
What can you expect on a Flying Grape tour? That’s easy to answer: a distinct education-focused experience that you can’t find elsewhere. Whether it’s a dinner in an ancient cellar with a 10th generation winemaker, or exploring unknown grape varieties with the best young up-and-comers, we have it all.
Is there anything better than wine travel?
Wine comes from beautiful places. But it’s more than that.
Wine regions are essentially farming regions, with hard working families with strong ethics simply trying to make it. The beauty of an agricultural society is on full display in wine regions around the world.
And wine regions take their food seriously, from simple and humble to fancy and over-the-top. There’s something for everyone.
